چکیده
Abstract. Dense water formation in the eastern Mediterranean (EMed) is essential sustaining overturning circulation. Changes sources of dense EMed point to changes circulation and properties Sea. Here we examine with a regional climate system model through 21st century under RCP8.5 emission scenario. Our results show shift dominant source Eastern Deep Water (EMDW) from Adriatic Sea Aegean first half century. The projected reduced by 75 % for Sea, 84 83 Levantine end reduction intensity deep related hydrographic surface intermediate that strengthen vertical stratification, hampering mixing thus convection. Those have an impact on flows Strait Sicily western therefore whole system.

Actual impacts of global warming on winter wheat yield in Eastern Himalayas
Himalayas, are among the areas most vulnerable to global warming, however, little is knownabout warming impacts on the crops. Therefore, the actual affects of anticipated warming onwinter wheat were tested in Tibet, China. During the period 1988-2012, Tibet region hasexperienced a large increase in daily mean, minimum and maximum temperatures during wheatgrowing seasons by 0.50, 0.67 and 0.51 o...
متن کاملVentilation under global warming
Since the upper ocean takes up much of the heat added to the earth system by an-thropogenic global warming, one would expect that global warming would lead to an increase in stratification and a decrease in the ventilation of the ocean interior. However , multiple simulations in global coupled climate models using an ideal age tracer 5 which is set to zero in the mixed layer and ages at 1 yr/yr...
متن کاملGlobal warming in the twenty-first century: an alternative scenario.
A common view is that the current global warming rate will continue or accelerate. But we argue that rapid warming in recent decades has been driven mainly by non-CO(2) greenhouse gases (GHGs), such as chlorofluorocarbons, CH(4), and N(2)O, not by the products of fossil fuel burning, CO(2) and aerosols, the positive and negative climate forcings of which are partially offsetting. The growth rat...
متن کاملClimate change under a scenario near 1.5 C of global warming: monsoon intensification, ocean warming and steric sea level rise
We present climatic consequences of the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) using the coupled climate model CLIMBER-3α, which contains a statisticaldynamical atmosphere and a three-dimensional ocean model. We compare those with emulations of 19 state-of-the-art atmosphere-ocean general circulation models (AOGCM) using MAGICC6. The RCPs are designed as standard scenarios for the forthco...
متن کاملForecasting phenology under global warming.
As a consequence of warming temperatures around the world, spring and autumn phenologies have been shifting, with corresponding changes in the length of the growing season. Our understanding of the spatial and interspecific variation of these changes, however, is limited. Not all species are responding similarly, and there is significant spatial variation in responses even within species. This ...
